HO HO HO!

I just wanted to tell you all MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! I am very excited about this Christmas. This is the first Christmas that I know how to open my own presents. Last Christmas the only thing I knew how to do was eat, sleep & poop - my, I've come a long way this year! Anyway, I've had a lot of practice opening presents over the past month and I am a pro now.
I hope you all get what you want from Santa and I hope you get lots and lots of fun family time and lots of good food...... and then a good nap! Sounds like a good day, huh!?!?

Cheesin' Under The Tree!

Well, here it is! My first Christmas tree! Yeah, yeah, I know I was totally around last Christmas but we had no tree at our house. I picked this tree out so obviously it is perfect!! I helped put the lights and the decorations on. I hid a few around the room too!! My favorite ornament is this puppy in a stocking that was mommy's favorite when she was young too! I've been very curious about the presents but I've resisted the urge - it has been very difficult. I am sure that in time they will ALL be MINE!!! Merry Christmas, Love you all!

Nothing like an empty box!!

Geez, and you people wonder why I didn't smile. So this camera man gives me all of these wrapped boxes to play with. I guess he was unaware that I just had a birthday and I know what a wrapped box is SUPPOSE to have in it......SOMETHING, ANYTHING!!! He gave me a bunch of EMPTY presents. Seriously!!! Needless to say I did not supply any smiles for that stunt either!!! I feel sorry for that kid if that is the kind of presents he gets!!

Mommy, Daddy & I went to get some Christmas pictures taken tonight. The camera man was a major goof and I was not impressed. I did not supply ANY smiles!!! So to all of you who will be getting a Christmas card this year - I am very sorry that I did not smile for you. If you were there you would understand!!! We at least look very festive!!!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!!

Mommy & Daddy took me to pick out a Christmas tree. We looked and looked and finally found the perfect one. I thought they all looked the same but apparently they don't. We brought it home and we are decorating it tonight. I'll be sure to add a pic of the finished product once the masterpiece is complete!!! Mommy let me put ornaments on the tree all by myself. I just threw them where I wanted them - no need to hang them!! My favorite ornaments are the shiny balls - I especially liked throwing those. Mommy also got us all new stockings this year with our names on them. Mine has airplanes on it - I love it! I really like pulling it off of the mantle. I am going to do my best to ruin it within the next week!!!

PAR-TY!

On Saturday Mommy & Daddy threw a birthday party for me. My WHOLE family came. There were so many people there - It was crazy. We ate lunch, opened presents - lots of presents, ate cake, and played. Mommy made my monkey cake - she was very stressed about it all week but it was really yummy. I was so happy that everyone came to see me for my birthday! (Thanks - Love you guys!)

Happy Birthday!

On my birthday Mommy & Daddy took me to Chuck E Cheese. It was a lot of fun. We ate dinner, played some games, rode some rides & met Chuck! Chuck was my favorite part. He was really nice. I kept following him all around. We won a bunch of tickets too. The prizes were kindof cheap so Mommy & Daddy said if I gave my tickets away they would take me to Target and let me pick out whatever I wanted. Obviously I am now ticketless!! We gave them to this other kid who wasn't going to get to go to Target. When we went to Target I got not just 1 but 2 new toys!! What an awesome day!!

Walking!

Here's me practicing my favorite thing - WALKING! I love it. I've been practicing for a few months now. I know how to do it really well now and I'll do it when I FEEL LIKE IT. I'm very stubborn and still crawl a lot just because Mommy & Daddy want me to walk! He he! It takes a lot of concentration though - I have to walk frankenstein style - with my arms out in front of me.

1st Time Trick or Treating!

We went trick or treating with my best buddy Aidan, his mommy and daddy, & Molli and JJ. We had a lot of fun! We went to a costume contest in my neighborhood 1st and then we went and got some CANDY!!! I wonder where that candy went?? Anyway, we saw all of these spooky decorations and met a lot of really nice people. I think this one lady might have been a little bit confused about what holiday it was because she gave me and Aidan candy canes - mine was only half a candy cane!! Maybe she wanted a trick!!

My New Aunt & Uncle!!

I DID IT!

I'm getting better at this walking thing. Tonight I walked all the way across the living room..... a couple of times. It was so exciting. I got so excited I started trying to clap at the same time. That didn't work out so well though. Note to self: Move either arms or legs - not both at the same time!

Trick or Treat!

This one is for all of you that won't get to see me for Halloween. I am really excited about going trick or treating with my buddy Aidan. I think our Mommy's and Daddy's are using us to get candy because the last time I checked I wasn't allowed to eat candy yet. Hmmm. Maybe they'll let us have SOME of it!

Go Heels!

I got my pictures taken today! Mommy and Daddy danced around like idiots trying to make me laugh - they are so ridiculous! I cooperated since they were making so much effort. I wore my Carolina gear since our football teams been doing so well. Go Heels! After I got my pics done we had lunch at Panera and I ate a turkey sandwich for the first time. I even ate it like a big boy. Every one in there was looking at me like they'd never seen a 10 month old each a sandwich before. Anyway, it was really good! I am so glad I don't have to eat that jar stuff anymore.

Gettin' Vertical!

Oh yeah! I walked all by myself today! I can go back and forth from Mommy & Daddy and take 6 to 8 steps. I got really brave today and walked from the couch to Daddy and from Mommy to the ottoman. My goal is to have this down by the 21st when I turn 11 months. I cannot be crawlin' around much longer - it's time to GET VERTICAL!

Pickin' Pumpkins!

Today we went to a pumpkin patch! There were SO MANY everywhere. Even if I could count I could never have counted them all! Mommy went crazy with the camera. She was putting me in the middle of all of those pumpkins and making me smile. I was a little nervous because I was afraid they were going to lose me in all of that orange. Next time I'll make sure they don't dress me in orange - who thought that one out?? I played in the hay and crawled around with the pumpkins. The nice pumpkin man gave me a really weird looking one - it was all lumpy! After Mommy got her fill of taking my picture we brought our pumpkins home. And yes... she took more pictures....

Reese Cup!

I finally got to see my cousin Reese this weekend. He is so cool - he can walk - ALL BY HIMSELF!! We played with all of my toys and ate spaghetti (my favorite)! Then, when it was time for Reese to go home I gave him a big smackeroo right on the nose - maybe that's what they mean by "Kissin' Cousins"!!

I got to go tailgating this weekend before the Carolina game - you know the one where we wooped Notre Dame - woo hoo GO HEELS! It was a lot of fun! I got to play football with my new friend Jack and I hung out with my other new friend B! He's still workin' on learning how to throw so he just watched. We ate some fried chicken and biscuits - mmm mmm! Mommy and Daddy drank some more of those cans of stuff that they won't let me taste - those cans are so shiny I really want them! I had a really good time! The only problem was I never got to see a tailgate - and not one truck was there - maybe they'll be one at the next tailgate!

I LOVE BATHTIME!! I make every effort to soak the ENTIRE bathroom! Mommy has to cover up with a towel - it makes me laugh!! She's such a wuss!! Mommy finally got a bath pic of me that Daddy said was safe for the internet - you gotta be careful of all those weirdos out there! Anyway, one thing I am not afraid of is the water - it's my favorite!

Finally! Mommy and Daddy gave me some real food! Mommy cooked me some chicken & carrots and I had bananas and soy cheese with it. I squished it all together and ate it up - it was so yummy!

Here's another pic of me and my buddy Aidan! We have a lot of fun playing together now! I crawl around everywhere and he tries to catch me. Uncle E says he does the "Commando Crawl". I keep trying to show him how to use his knees to crawl and he's been showing me how to use that weird sippy cup thing.
